A theme-based study of aesthetic and conceptual issues surrounding contemporary art and design practices. This course introduces art/design vocabulary, critical thinking skills, and develops an understanding of the diverse social roles that artists and designers occupy within contemporary culture and society.

Formal elements of three-dimensional form. Application of the principles of organization as a means for producing creative solutions for the artist and designer. Related practical experience with a variety of materials and processes.
